About

aboutJames Mc Geough founded his undertaking business in Park Street Dundalk in 1892. The business flourished and his son also named James continued the Family name when he took over in the early 1930's.

In time James sister Nora (who married Patrick Rogers) also became involved in the business, taking over fully in 1964. Her son Patsy learned his trade from his uncle and he took over the business in 1975. in 1978 he moved the business to its current location in Jocelyn Street, which enabled him to create a beautiful and homely Funeral home in a central location, which provides a very private place for fond farewells.

In 1995 his daughter Rosemary joined the business and in 1999 she qualified as an embalmer after studying under Robert Connolly in Browns Funeral Directors in Belfast. Together they have grown the business to a great success.

In 2010 Patsy’s grandson Oisin joined the family business and has since completed IAFD Funeral Directors Course. Today the Business is run by Rosemary and her nephew Oisin and they work together to serve bereaved families to the best of their ability.
